Real Madrid Disagreement over method of payment
Napoli are negotiating to sign James Rodriguez, and everything is pointing towards it becoming a reality, but Real Madrid‘s demands are complicating matters.
In the last few days, the Partenopei‘s sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli, was in Madrid to try and close the deal. Real Madrid are asking for a single payment of 42 million euros whereas Napoli are looking to pay in instalments, and neither side are budging.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has decided to go on Italian radio and explain the current situation to the club’s supporters.
“James‘ problem is that we have to deal with Real Madrid,” he told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“We are tough, we do not want to give in to Florentino Perez‘s unjust demands.
“We’re in no hurry because our team is already strong.
“We want to buy, but we don’t want to make mistakes.”
